strawberry crepe

Its almost summer and that means berries are starting to become in season. So here is a great recipe for strawberry crepe. A crepe is basically a thin french pancake, which has a golden brown outside with a soft almost chewy texture. I always prefer a crepe over an american pancake, but thats just me. This crepe would be a great breakfast dish or it is sweet enough for a dessert, and you can always top it with ice cream to make this even more special.

French Apple Cake

This is a very traditional rustic cake made with fresh apples tossed into a silky cake batter. This cake is so simple to make and you really don't have to worry about the cake drying out as the apples keep the cake extremely moist. This cake would be great to make any day of the week, or serve it with whipped cream and ice cream for an unforgettable dessert at your next gathering. This cake taste so great that people will think you slaved away in your kitchen all day making this. So watch my video to see how you can make this cake.

Chocolate Brownies

What is more iconic then the all American treat called the brownie. These brownies are a very simple recipe that uses chocolate instead of cocoa powder. Which gives the brownies a more chewier texture. That take about as long to make as a box mix but taste 10 time better. The other benefit is you know what is all in you food. The brownies are great on there own or even better with powder sugar or a frosting.

Blondies

The first time I had blondies was over at a friends house, and I just remember how bad they tasted. As they just had butterscotch chips in them and nothing else. So I started looking around at different recipes and this is what I came up with to have the perfect blondie. A mixture of butterscotch chips, chocolate chips, and shredded coconut. I was scared at first to add coconut because I don't really like coconut, but theres just enough to add another layer of flavor with tasting it all on its own. So if you don't like coconut or know someone, they will still love this blondie recipe.

Home made vanilla extract

When my Aunt came over last week she brought me some vanilla beans, and I used the seeds to make buttercream frosting. After making the buttercream I still had the pods left over that have a ton of flavor left in them so I decided to make vanilla extract. Watch my video to learn how to make your own vanilla extract
